Tuesday May 2, 2006
Harvard sophomore Kaavya Viswanthan's bestselling chick-lit novel, How Opal Mehta Got Kissed, Got Wild, and Got a Life, was pulled from bookstores by publisher Little, Brown last week as it became apparent that Viswathan had copied portions of her novel from Megan McCafferty's Sloppy Firsts and Second Helpings.
