Kaavya Viswanathan's Book Deal Canceled

Publisher Little, Brown announced yesterday that Kaavya Viswanathan's book How Opal Mehta Got Kissed, Got Wild, and Got a Life will not be reissued with changes, as originally planned. The publisher also canceled Viswanathan's contract for a second book. This decision came as a result of more plagiarised passages being identified. It now appears that Viswanathan not only copied from Meg McCafferty, but also borrowed from authors Sophie Kinsella and Meg Cabot.
