Comparison: Two New Nature Photography Books

As the holidays approach, there are two new nature photography books you might want to consider giving as gifts. They are both large, hardcover, coffee table style volumes filled with interesting photographs. Planet Earth: An Illustrated History was put together by Time, while Visions of Paradise was compiled by National Geographic. Just looking at the covers, it would be hard to discern which would be the better choice. When I received these two books, I expected them to be very similar.
