Monday July 13, 2009
Vikas Swarup became an international name when his novel, Q&A, was turned into the movie Slumdog Millionaire, which went on to win the Academy Award for Best Picture in 2009. His new novel, Six Suspects, is a murder mystery that takes place in India. When Vicky Rai is murdered at the party he threw to celebrate his acquittal for a murder he actually committed, the police find six people with guns at the celebration. Which of these suspects, if any, is responsible for the murder? Swarup takes readers into the dark and glamorous sides of India to find out.
