The Bottom Line
Chelsea Handler, a comedienne who hosts Chelsea, Lately, a late night talk show on E!, has written a new book of essays. Her last book of essays, Are You There, Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea, was a bestseller and Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang continues in the same tradition. Fans of Handler's unique brand of humor will hear her voice come through in each essay.
Pros
- Handler's stories can be quite funny, and her trademark dry humor is clearly expressed on the page.

Guide Review - 'Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang' by Chelsea Handler - Book Review
Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang is a collection of humorous personal stories and essays from Chelsea Handler, a comedienne and host of
Chelsea, Lately on E! It's difficult to describe the type of humor in
Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang, but Handler is fond of playing pranks on her friends, insulting her loved ones, and making fun of herself and her family. The chapters in
Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang cover the territory from drunken encounters on a vacation in the Turks and Caicos to an elaborate trick played on Handler's boyfriend involving the faked death of a friend's dog.
The subject material here is definitely not appropriate for children; Handler's first memoir was My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands, and that theme of frank disclosure carries into Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang as well.
Though very funny, Chelsea Chelsea Bang Bang is too loose a collection of essays to really be a satisfying read. Fans of Handler's previous books or talk show will likely enjoy her latest book.
