Stieg Larsson fans are already anticipating the third book in his Millenium Trilogy, The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest, which is set to come out May 25. There is also a new book in the Southern Vampire Series and some chick lit from Emily Giffin.
June - Vampires!
Stephenie Meyer fans are rejoicing over the release of another book in the Twilight Saga (even if this one doesn't focus on Edward, Bella and Jacob). There is also a new Anita Blake book and a literary horror novel about vampires by Justin Cronin. Not into bloodsucking books? Try some Southern literature or a New Jersey bounty hunter.
July - Beach Reading
August - Hungry for Page Turners
Many fans are anticipating the last book in Suzanne Collins' Hunger Games series -- Mockingjay. Mockingjay will be released at the end of August. There are also new books from Lauren Weisberger and Philippa Gregory.
September - Favorite Authors Return
Ape House, Sara Gruen's first novel since Water for Elephants was released in September, as was a new book by Sopjie Kinsella and Ken Follett's latest epic.
October - Detectives & Legal Thrillers
John Grisham, Lee Child, Michael Connelly and Vince Flynn all have new releases coming out in October. Need something more literary? Try Nicole Krauss' Great House.
November - Election Season
Conservatives can pick up President George W. Bush's memoir, Decision Points, or America by Heart by Sarah Palin. Not so interested in politics? New books by Dennis Lehane, Stephen King and Pat Conroy promise to help you escape (although you may be scared of where King and Lehane take you).
December - Closing Out the Year
December is traditionally slow in publishing since publishers want to get books out into for Black Friday in November. There are some paranormal thrillers and other fast paced reads in addition to Steve Harvey's follow up to Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man.
