Guide Review - 'The American Journey of Barack Obama' by the Editors of Life Magazine
I am not saying The American Journey of Barack Obama is all fluff. In fact, it contains numerous essays on Obama's life and appeal that are well written and thoughtful. It is, however, designed for people who are infatuated with Obama. It has information about his life and family that is not really news, just the kind of stuff that is fun to know about someone you admire.
The American Journey of Barack Obama stands out as a lot more about the personal side of Obama than other commemorative photo books. If, however, you are wanting a book that follows Obama's 2008 Presidential campaign, you would be better served by something like Yes We Can: Barack Obama's History Making Presidential Campaign.
