Guide Review - 'President Obama: The Path to the White House' - Time Commemorative Edition
Although I would have enjoyed more photographs, I enjoyed the perspective that Shell provides through the ones that are included. Not only are the photos excellent, but the captions provide an inside look at Barack Obama and his family. Who knew, for instance, that the Obamas watched a hot dog eating contest on TV together on the Fourth of July before going to campaign events?
The ten articles by eight different authors are well written, and tell the story of how Obama became who he is and how he captured Americans' imaginations.
President Obama: The Path to the White House is a little gushing. Of course, this is a commemorative book, not a journalistic critique of the man. If you are a fan of Obama, you will be pleased with this keepsake.
