Guide Review - Yes We Can: Barack Obama's History Making Presidential Campaign by Tufankjian
The book contains standard photographs of crowds and rallies that you find in other commemorative photo books, but there is also Tufankjian's unique take. For instance, he brought a chalkboard to a rally and asked people to write why they supported Obama. He photographed dozens of individuals who had written a variety of answers from "new hope" to "articulate." The pages of these supporters' photographs are my favorite part of Yes We Can.
Many books on Obama's campaign have been published. Yes We Can will appeal to those who prefer more artistic photography and who want a nice, coffee table book that covers the whole campaign. If you want more history on Obama or text, try Time's President Obama: The Path to the White House.
