Green Mile, IT and Carrie

Cant decide between the three for my favourites adaption. IT was so creepy, had to try to read the book three times before I could finsih it. Green Mile and Carrie were pretty well true to the books and Green Mile still makes me cry and cheer at the same time.

The Green Mile, The Stand, Stand By Me

Although I also enjoy many of the horror movies adapted from his books, these 3 are my favorites. In my opinion,The Green Mile is the closest adaptation to his original story, which makes it one of the best. I will never understand why many of his books are changed so drastically when adapted to film. Like the old saying, if it's not broken, don't fix it, (or something like that.) Both Stand By Me & The Green Mile are great stories that delve into the depths of our human emotions. These 2 books, plus Shawshank Redemption, prove that Stephen King's talent extends beyond the horror genre. I never grow weary of watching The Stand. I love the characters and the struggle between good and evil. The strength of faith shown by Larry and the other men at the time of their deaths makes me emotional every time I watch. I am anxious to see the Bag of Bones mini-series, its one of my favorite books. If the story-line stays true to the book, it should be great!

The stand

Great characters, plot, and several different story lines that are not watered down, I have many favorite movies from king stories, but the stand has it all, good vs evil, uplifting characters, justice, and that sometimes faith is all you need.

When I saw this movie for the first time I was so scared of passing thru a cornfield at night. I could never see those cornfields the same way again..LOL

Scared me to death in the early years of scarey film :) Something about that face slapping up against the bedroom window... made it all too possible that just might really happen in my world. I loved it!
